How to charm the ladies
From very early in the game, you will be approached by female “fans” that you are expected to charm. This basically consists of selecting from a few pre-decided options, but can get surprisingly tricky. Finding success here, however, largely just calls for common sense; so, resist being rude or arrogant to the ladies. Enthusing about your love of speedboat racing can also go down well.
Keep an eye out for shortcuts
Ever been leading in a race only to suddenly notice that your position has fallen to three or four? That’s probably because the other racers have just used a shortcut. However, you should also, when you are further behind, occasionally be able to spot other racers taking that shortcut – so remember that hitting your nitro boost isn’t always the best option.
What to do if you’re stuck
One of the biggest problems with this game, in our view, is that your progress can suddenly grind to a snail’s pace unless you are willing to pay decent amounts of actual money through in-app purchases. Of course, you can do that if you’re perfectly willing to; however, you could find that, by looking back through the game for little side-missions that had previously escaped your notice, you could find ways of progressing without any need to deplete your bank balance.
