Rise of the Tomb Raider Reaching PlayStation 4 in October

The highly acclaimed Rise of the Tomb Raider, previously released on Xbox One and PC, will finally hit PlayStation 4 later this year with the release of Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration.

As indicated by the title, the game intends to mark two decades since the Tomb Raider series began with the very first game on PlayStation in 1996. However, this version of Rise of the Tomb Raider will bring not only last year’s adventure, but also a wealth of bonuses to PS4, Xbox One and PC.

As Square Enix has revealed in a blog post, these will include a new story chapter called “Blood Ties”, where players can explore Croft Manor, and online co-operative play in “Endurance Mode”. This will allow players to team up in groups of two to raid tombs amid an array of both day and night threats.

The PS4 version will also include support for PlayStation VR, though this will seemingly be limited to the “Blood Ties” story. Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration will be released on October 11. You can pre-order the game now to also pick up – while stocks last – a limited edition Lara Croft art-book.
