Samsung fans are starting to speculate about what the S6 will offer, after a leaked screenshot showed a device with a 20MP rear camera, a 5.5 inch screen with a 1,4440×2,560 pixel display and a 64-bit octa-core processor. The screenshot was leaked by the Chinese website CNMO from the database of the benchmarking site AnTuTu. It’s thought that the screenshot depicted what would be the European version of the device, meaning that the processor used in the US devices could be different.
It’s thought that the phone would feature the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage as well as a MicroSD slot to boost space. Samsung have experienced mixed fortunes recently, with sales of the S5 having been much lower than what was predicted. In September, the company announced a 74% drop in profits for its mobile division. Meanwhile, popular new iPhones have also been released recently, with Apple launching larger devices to emulate the screen size of the S5. Samsung is expected to launch the S6 within the next few months.
