Samsung to Unveil Galaxy S7 in Two Sizes on February 20?

Samsung could reveal its new flagship smartphones, expected to be called the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, in 5.2- and 5.5-inch sizes on February 20, according to reports today.

SamMobile has noted Ukrainian tech blogger Ivan Luchkovā€™s claim that Samsung Unpacked 2016, the event at which these new handsets are expected to get their formal debut, will occur on February 20 in Barcelona. Luchkov correctly predicted the date for last yearā€™s Unpacked event, making him a seemingly reliable source of insider information about Samsungā€™s plans.

On the subject of those plans, the news of the two screen sizes comes from South Koreaā€™s Electronic Times, which claims that the 5.2-inch display will be flat, while the 5.5-inch alternative will be edge-to-edge. This would differ from the strategy followed with this yearā€™s Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, the latter pictured above ā€“ where 5.1-inch was the chosen display size for each model.
