Take a look at the redesigned App Store on iOS 11

Certainly one of the biggest changes in iOS 11 is the newly redesigned App Store that has totally changed the look and feel of the App marketplace. The main of the redesign is to boost app discovery and this new App Store splits apps and games into their own sections for the first time ever.

When you compare the iOS 11 App Store with that of iOS 10 (as shown in the video above from Macrumors) you’ll see that there are quite a few changes. Now, as well as separate tabs for Apps and Games, there is a “Today” section that is updated every day with new content.

This Today section features the App of the Day and the Game of the Day alongside other content that has been chosen by Apple’s App Store editors. This content can be anything from additional apps and games to interviews with developers and tips on how to use various apps.

Each of the individual app pages also have a fresh look, with Apple providing more focus for reviews and Editors Choice and you can get a sneak peek of content through multiple videos. Users will also benefit from the highlighting of things such as in-app purchases and levels, letting developers alert them to new features.

This new App Store will be available in the fall when iOS 11 is officially released but registered developers can check it out now and public beta testers will get access in late June.
