With Apple’s rumored spring event looming on or around March 8, the Cupertino firm has filed three new yet-to-be-released Mac computers in the Eurasian Economic Database; A2615, A2686 and A2681.
The database has become a very strong indicator of Apple’s short-term roadmap in recent years, because the company is required to register any device that depends on encryption technologies with the Eurasian Economic Commission.
The registration was first noticed by Consomac, and comes a few weeks after new iPhone and iPad registrations were spotted on the Eurasian database, probably indicating the release of new generations of the iPhone SE and iPad Air.
Apple products normally appear in the database about one to three months before release, which lines up with rumors that the spring event will take place on March 8. However, sometimes model identifiers have been published nearly a year before the actual products break cover.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we can expect to see at least one new Mac at the spring event. We are already anticipating a new 27-inch iMac, a comprehensively redesigned MacBook Air, and a revamped high-end Mac mini.
As Apple has already stated that it will complete the Apple silicon transition within two years, it looks like 2022 will be heavy on new Mac debuts.
