Apple CEO Tim Cook has been pretty busy in China recently, having visited the East Asian country to discuss several of his company’s initiatives there. More intriguingly for the rest of the world, however, Cook has reportedly also let slip to several employees that the Apple Watch, currently available almost exclusively online, will start appearing in Apple Stores “by June”.
Very unusually for an Apple product, the Apple Watch has not been made available in the company’s own retail stores right from launch. Apple retail chief Angela Ahrendts has revealed that this was in order to prevent the lengthy in-store queues and waiting that typically accompany the launch of an eagerly-anticipated new Apple product.
However, the revelation that the company is set to have the Apple Watch in Apple Stores in many countries around the globe by next month is certainly great news for people who are eager to get their hands on the device, but favor high street shopping over purchasing through the Internet.
