Wayfair Adds Apple Pay Support to its Retail Websites

Wayfair, the major online retailer of home furnishings and décor, has announced its support for the mobile payment service Apple Pay for shoppers who use the Wayfair.com, Joss & Main and AllModern websites through the Safari browser on iOS 10 or macOS Sierra.

This web-based checkout integration of Apple Pay will be available on iPhones, iPads and Macs compatible with the payment service. While iOS 10 and macOS Sierra are yet to emerge from beta, they should be publicly released later this month. It will be possible to pay more quickly and securely when buying from Wayfair’s impressive catalog of over 7 million products.

While the Wayfair, Joss & Main and AllModern apps on iPhone already support Apple Pay, this extended integration of the service will take away the need to install any of these apps. By using Apple Pay on retail websites, shoppers will be able to avoid having to manually type payment card details, while the numbers on those cards will be kept secret from merchants.
