What Were the Biggest No-Shows at This Year’s WWDC?

There were plenty of exciting announcements from Apple at the Worldwide Developers Conference last week – just think of Apple Music, iOS 9, OS X El Capitan and the UK launch of Apple Pay. But there were also many announcements that we had been expecting but didn’t end up getting at the big event.

A new version of the Apple TV failed to appear, even though Cult of Mac had likened the black box at the epicenter of the WWDC banner to an Apple TV. We also never saw the long-rumored ‘iPad Pro’, a larger, 12.9-inch iPad – though evidence has since emerged that a whole new on-screen keyboard has been especially designed for use on such a tablet.

We could continue further and discuss the lack of announcements about forthcoming enhancements to both Apple Maps and the front-facing camera of the next generation iPhone… but we have insufficient space to do so here. Thankfully, we do have space in the next issue of Apple Magazine, which you can receive on your iOS device on Friday after you subscribe through the App Store.
