Microsoft has reported that, globally, Windows 10 is now installed on over 200 million devices. A very rosy picture of the operating system’s popularity is painted in a new post on the official Windows blog.
Microsoft says that the 200 million figure applies to devices that are active on a monthly basis. The Redmond firm has further claimed that, with “more than 40% of new Windows 10 devices becoming active since Black Friday”, adoption of the OS is “accelerating”.
This contrasts with figures reported on Friday suggesting that the Windows 10 adoption rate had actually slowed during December. In any case, the company also says that, in growth, Windows 10 has outpaced both Windows 7, by nearly 140%, and Windows 8, by almost 400%.
The corporation adds that “we are seeing significantly higher customer satisfaction with Windows 10 than any prior version of Windows.” If you are yet to decide whether to take up the desktop version of Windows 10, especially if you would want to sync it with iOS devices, our recent review could help.
