Apple could introduce new iPads this April

Apple is reportedly readying the release of new iPads, coming as soon as April, according to a new report from Bloomberg.

The news follows previous rumors that Apple was going to hold an event on March 23, but with just days to go, that now seems unlikely to go ahead.

Apple will reportedly refresh its iPad Pro range, introducing new models that look similar to the latest designs, but they’ll feature an A14X processor that’s on par with the new M1 chip.

The company plans to introduce mini-LED displays in at least the larger iPad Pro, though the smaller model could also be updated. This news is in line with previous rumors that Apple is working on mini-LED displays, and the new iPad Pro would be the first model to get them.

Other new features expected as part of the 2021 iPad Pro includes a Thunderbolt connector, making the device compatible with external monitors, hard drives, and offering faster data speeds. Apple already offers USB-C charging on the iPad Pro and iPad Air.

According to Bloomberg, Apple will also refresh the entry-level iPad later this year, and a new version of the iPad mini with a larger display is also expcted.
