Apple Seeds Second Beta of iOS 9.3 for Testing by Developers

Apple today seeded the second beta release of iOS 9.3 to developers. Perhaps the most notable enhancement in this beta are new, easily accessible Night Shift controls in Control Center.

Night Shift, as we have previously reported, will lower the amount of blue light emitted by the iOS device’s screen during the late hours, therefore encouraging sounder sleep. Developers will be able to judge its effectiveness as they now busy themselves with testing the beta.

MacRumors has revealed that, in this beta, Night Shift controls can be easily reached by swiping up from the bottom of the screen to bring up Control Center. Here, a new icon resembling an eye can be tapped to show options for immediately switching on Night Shift or delaying this until the next day.

MacRumors has also produced an informative video feature detailing the most exciting features of iOS 9.3, which could be publicly released around the same time as the iPhone 5SE and iPad Air 3 in March.
