Apple set to release AirTags and new iPad Pro next month

Apple will release its first products of 2021 in March, according to insider Jon Prosser.

Prosser has a mixed track record when it comes to Apple’s release schedule, but he has correctly predicted a number of key releases including the iPhone 12 and new M1 Macs. He suggests that Apple will host a virtual event next month, and release new iPad Pro models as well as the long-awaited AirTags product, Apple’s direct competitor to Tile.

It’s important to note that Prosser previously suggested that AirTags would launch in November 2020, but with the state of the world right now, he could have been right and Apple might have pushed back the release due to production delays or shipping problems.

Apple traditionally hosts an event every March, releasing new products such as Macs and iPads, and offering updates on services. It’s likely that AirTags will be coming this month, as the product has been in development for a long time and we’ve seen glimpses of it since the iOS 13 beta code in 2019.

Reliable insider Ming-Chi Kuo corroborates Prosser’s suggestions, previously teasing that AirPods would be released in the first half of the year, and L0vetodream, who shares leaks on Twitter, has suggested AirTags will be sold in small and large sizes to accommodate different products.
