Apple Watch Nike+ Series 2 Models to Arrive on October 28

Apple Watch Nike+ Series 2, the upcoming wearable tailored specially for meeting runners’ needs, will become available for purchase on October 28, an update on Apple’s website has revealed.

While the Apple Watch Nike+ Series 2 is, fundamentally, the same Apple Watch Series 2 smartwatch that was first released last month, it also features official Nike branding, exclusive Nike Sport Bands and Nike watch faces, a new Nike+ Run Club app and even exclusive Siri voice commands.

The Nike Sport Brands are made of strong and flexible fluoroelastomer and perforated to encourage ventilation and sweat management more effectively than the original Apple Watch Sport Band. Meanwhile, the Nike+ Run Club app includes personalized coaching plans and expert guidance to help with runners’ regimes. The app is “seamlessly built” into the device, Apple has previously revealed.

As reported by MacRumors, Apple has recently updated the Apple Watch Nike+ Series 2 section of its website with the October 28 release date; Apple previously hadn’t indicated a launch time more specific than “late October”. Four models starting at $369 in price are now available for preorder.
