Apple is reportedly planning to release a more affordable version of the AirPods next year.

Tech analyst Jeff Pu has said that Apple is expected to release two new products in 2024, including an updated version of the Apple Watch with a micro-LED display and a lower-priced version of its AirPods, referred to as “AirPods Lite.”

According to Pu, the new Apple Watch will have a 2.1-inch micro-LED display, which would offer increased brightness compared to current models with OLED displays.

The lower-priced AirPods, on the other hand, are expected to be competitive with wireless headphones from other companies, though no further details have been provided.

Right now, Apple offers AirPods, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max. The cheapest AirPods, Apple’s second-generation, start at $129 in the United States. The third-generation model, released in 2022, comes in at $179.
