Hugely Revamped Apple Music Expected to be Unveiled in June

The streaming service Apple Music could be in line for a big reboot and a new interface. A Bloomberg report says that Apple should reveal “sweeping changes” to the service next month.

While Apple Music – which is available on not only Apple platforms, but also Android and Windows – has picked up subscribers at a fair clip since its unveil last June, the company now is “altering the user interface … to make it more intuitive to use”.

That’s according to “people familiar with the product who asked not to be identified because the plans aren’t public.” Apple is also said to be intent on better integrating its streaming and download businesses and expanding its online radio service.

This could be referring to previously rumored new Beats radio stations to accompany the already airing Beats 1. Apple will also reportedly promote the revamped Apple Music with a “marketing blitz” – and there’s good reason to believe that the service’s poster girl Taylor Swift will be involved.
