Consumers can now pre-order the iPhone 14 and AirPods Pro 2.

Apple’s online store has been down since midnight in preparation for the new smartphones and earphones, and now it’s possible to pre-order the AirPods Pro 2, iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max as of 5 AM PT.

The new lineup features the same pricing as the iPhone 13 range, although the iPhone 13 mini was discontinued and replaced by a new iPhone 14 Plus. In some territories like the United Kingdom, Apple has increased its base pricing due to fluctuations in currencies.

The entry-level 6.1-inch iPhone 14 starts at $799 for a 128 GB model in the United States, though it’s worth noting that there is only minor updates to this year’s device, such as a larger main camera, an improved selfie camera, and car crash detection and Emergency SOS via a new satellite for the first time. The new iPhone 14 Plus offers the same features as the new iPhone 14 but features a larger 6.7-inch display, starting at $899 in the US.

If you’re planning on ordering an iPhone 14 Plus, bear in mind that it won’t ship until October 7.

Apple has made more significant changes to its Pro line-up, with the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max now powered by the A16 chip, featuring a dedicated ‘Display Engine’ allowing for an always-on display. The cameras on the Pro and Pro Max models have also been overhauled, with an impressive 48-megapixel resolution camera with a quad-pixel sensor, which will supersample 48-megapixel input into a 12-megapixel output image.

The Pro and Pro Max models also feature a new bill shape and Dynamic Island, which blends software and hardware and offers useful information like a music library and map icon.

The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max start at $999 and $1099 respectively.

And let’s not forget the second-generation AirPods Pro, which now offer improved sound, longer battery life and enhanced noise cancellation. AirPods Pro 2 retail for $249 and will ship from September 23.
