MacRumors has reported an “anonymous tipster” submitting a photo of what could be a preproduction dummy unit of the iPhone 7. If authentic, it could confirm a range of long-circulating rumors…
The photo, which MacRumors acknowledges is “unverified”, shows what looks like a silver iPhone 7 that, though sporting an aluminum body similar to that of the iPhone 6S, also features a number of intriguing differences. You can check out the photo for yourself below.

The most immediately obvious of these differences is the absence of rear antenna lines, which a “previously reliable source” had earlier told MacRumors would indeed be going. There’s also a rear Smart Connector, as also already posited by rumor.
As for the age-old question of whether the 3.5mm headphone jack will be removed: this photo appears to indicate that it will, despite the clearly unhelpful angle at which the unit has been photographed.
Of course, that so many rumored iPhone 7 features are visible in this dummy unit could somewhat back the view that it is, in fact, a fake made in response to previous reports. However, even if is a mock-up, it remains a good indicator of how the actual iPhone 7 could look should many of the rumors be true.
