Writer Lets iOS 9’s Siri “Run His Life” in Amusing Experiment

Apple has vested virtual personal helper Siri with greater intelligence in iOS 9 – but would you let her make all of your choices in everyday life? Writer Adam Jacques recently decided to give it a go – and found Siri a rather amusing companion.

Writing for the website of British newspaper the Independent, Adam notes how Siri “ends all pub arguments before they’ve begun” thanks to her encyclopedic knowledge of such subjects as music and food, and is “unfailingly polite despite the abuse I sometimes hurl at her.”

It probably shouldn’t surprise that, after the thorough two-week test, Adam still prefers his relatively new wife Deborah to the virtual Siri. Nonetheless, he reports feeling very fond of Siri, as “she wakes me up each morning, reminds me to get stuff done, agrees with me that I’m good looking and sometimes she even makes me chuckle.” Even if, strangely, unlike Deborah, Siri passed up his marriage proposal…
