Today, Apple has updated its online list of banks, credit unions and financial institutions that support the mobile payment service Apple Pay in the US. According to this list, there are now over 450 issuers participating in Apple Pay throughout the country.
The 18 freshly-added institutions are:
AltaOne Federal Credit Union
American Bank of Commerce
Capital Bank, N.A.
Cardinal Community Credit Union
Del-One Federal Credit Union
Enterprise Bank and Trust Co.
Envision Credit Union
First Commonwealth Bank
First National Bank and Trust
First South Financial Credit Union
FirstMerit Bank
Fort Worth City Credit Union
Leominster Credit Union
Magnolia Federal Credit Union

When exactly each of these began supporting Apple Pay cannot be discerned from this list; it is possible that some of them may have been participants for some time, but have only just had their names added to this page on Apple’s website.
The overall list of participating issuers is likely to continue steadily growing, and we could learn more news about Apple Pay at Apple’s big September 9 event, as iOS 9 will bring improvements to the system.
