Apple has revealed an expansion plan for its Vision Pro developer labs, making them available in two new cities. Effective immediately, developers eager to trial their applications on Vision Pro have the opportunity to access labs in New York City and Sydney. The tech giant shared this announcement on its developer platform.
The new additions expand the roster of cities hosting Vision Pro labs. The comprehensive list now includes Cupertino, New York City, Sydney, London, Munich, Shanghai, Singapore, and Tokyo. Apple’s statement read, “We’re thrilled with the excitement and enthusiasm from developers around the world at the Apple Vision Pro labs, and we’re pleased to announce new labs in New York City and Sydney. Join us to test directly on the device and connect with Apple experts for help with taking your visionOS, iPadOS, and iOS apps even further on this exciting new platform.”
The announcement is a direct response to feedback from the developer community. Prior to this, Cupertino was the sole US city offering Vision Pro labs, which often meant US East Coast developers had to undertake cross-country trips. This expansion is designed to provide them with a more convenient option.
These developer labs are crucial for hands-on testing with Vision Pro, and to further assist developers, Apple engineers are readily available onsite for any support or troubleshooting.
Developers who aspire to experience the Vision Pro lab can lodge their requests via Apple’s official website.
