Apple executive Eddy Cue today made a guest appearance at Dropbox’s Open conference, where he showed off the upcoming iPad Pro and Dropbox’s Paper app for the tablet.
Though 9to5Mac reports that Cue spoke on a range of subjects in a “fireside chat” with Dropbox CEO Drew Houston, of particular note was Cue’s demonstration of the iPad Pro, which seems likely to hit the market on November 11, pending formal confirmation from Apple.
The event saw a strong focus on the aforementioned Paper app. Described by Houston as his company’s collaborative editing tool made to take special advantage of the iPad Pro, the app is currently set for release in the first quarter of 2016.
Though not confirmed by Dropbox, we would be surprised if Paper does not make use of the Apple Pencil, pictured above, for functions such as creating images for insertion into documents. However, many details of precisely how the app will work on iPad Pro remain up for speculation.
