Having presented five game concepts for the public to vote on, the Microsoft Casual Games division has revealed that the game which won the vote, and so it will develop next, is… Ultimate Word Games.
As its title indicates, Ultimate Word Games, which beat out competition from Casino Collection, Chess, Hearts and Bubbles, will be not one game, but instead a compilation. However, even in today’s blog post announcing the result, Microsoft did not detail exactly what word games will be included.
In fact, it could be very much the public’s decision – again – which games make the grade. Microsoft has invited such input, including “opinion on which word game modes should be included”, from anyone who joins, or already has membership of, the user feedback group Microsoft Casual Games Inner Circle.
It seems likely that the finished Ultimate Word Games will be released for Windows PCs and smartphones through the Windows Store, where many other game apps from the developer are already available. Here’s awaiting further word – ahem – about its release…
