Apple performed well at the EE Pocket-lint Gadget Awards in London on Thursday, as the Apple Watch was named the best wearable and the iPad Mini 4 was handed the best tablet crown for 2015.
The Apple Watch was victorious due to its pleasing design and large number of features, including calls, notifications and apps. The UK gadget news site Pocket-lint, which arranges the annual ceremony, called the wearable “the most designer, fashion-aware take on the smartwatch yet”.
The iPad Mini 4 beat off competition from even 2-in-1 slates, including runner-up the Microsoft Surface Pro 3. Pocket-lint enthused that the Apple offering bettered last year’s iPad Mini 3 in several areas and is “a lovely, compact tablet with anti-reflective screen coating that makes it good for watching movies, playing games, and reading or writing on the go.”
